From trying out new recipes to making a DIY audio guestbook to flower arrangements, I occasionally take on creative challenges. I love the satisfaction of creating something from scratch and It's always fulfilling to witness the finished product.

DIY Audio Guestbook

What do you do when you really want an audio guestbook for your wedding, but there are no ready-made ones available? You find a tutorial and do it yourself!

California Archives

This public interactive was exhibited at Nightlife @ California Academy of Sciences, on 7 November 2016.

It extends the experience at the two public sites — the Letterform Archive and Helen Crocker Russell Library of Horticulture — by bringing to life what you may learn about letterform, or the dynamic ecosystem of the living, growing plants and animals.

Because..
try, learn, try again!!

Along with 3 other teammates, I performed live to an audience of 100 about the concept of rapid prototyping through storytelling.

Afterwards, we also designed and created this 4-minute video version of the live presentation.

Form study and materials exploration

Studying and generating forms from daily mundane objects — sticky tape and its adhesive. Using photography as a medium, I experimented with zoom and lighting to study and generate new forms. At first, I was simply photographing the object. I later learned to harness the material properties of the tape, such as its transparency and adhesiveness.

I enjoy experimenting with new recipes and discovering the unique flavours that different techniques and ingredients bring. The process of improving a dish and witnessing friends and family enjoying my food makes me happy!
